Jan 05, 2017 · yes of course the IR is literally the cab impulse response taken with spefic mic with specific position ,if you download an IR from 3SA you will find a couple of picture with mic position and mic/cab spec don't forget that a good IR can make a huge difference on the same preset I've managed to create an impulse response that alters the sound of an electric guitar into a reasonable facsimile of that of an acoustic guitar.
